Getting around Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia is small but mountainous, so the trip between towns takes longer than the map suggests. From cheap minibuses to taxis, ride-share apps and rental cars, here are your options and what to expect.
Good to know: most flights land at Hewanorra (UVF) in the far south, about 90 minutes from the resorts in the north. Plan your first transfer before you arrive.

Riding the minibus
Minibuses are the cheapest way around and how most Saint Lucians travel. Look for the green licence plate with an M, flag one down anywhere along its route, and pay the driver in cash. Routes are numbered by zone, and you change buses at the two hubs, Castries and Vieux Fort.
