Taxis
Taxis are the most flexible way around, day or night, and the simplest option to and from the airport. They are not metered, so the golden rule is to agree the fare and the currency before you set off.

Sample fares from Hewanorra (UVF) airport
Approximate one-way rates for up to three passengers, quoted in US dollars. Confirm whether a price is per car or per person, and expect larger vehicles for bigger groups.
DestinationFrom UVF (US$)
Castries$85
Rodney Bay$90 to 105
Cap Estate$95
Marigot Bay$70
Soufrière$65 to 75

Water taxis
Along the west coast, small boats run short hops between Soufrière, Marigot Bay and nearby beaches. They are a quick, scenic alternative to the winding coast road. Agree the price before boarding here too.
Tips
- Agree the fare and currency before the trip starts.
- Ask your hotel to call a trusted driver, especially late at night.
- Many drivers also run half-day and full-day island tours.
- Hewanorra (UVF) is in the south, about 90 minutes from the north; George F. L. Charles (SLU) sits right in Castries.
